HILLTOPS
A riper style Shiraz with a spicy and floral nose and dark fruit and Christmas cake characters on the palate. French and American oak tannins balance off the richness of this full-bodied Shiraz.

HILLTOPS
A single vineyard Shiraz from the cool-climate region of Hilltops, NSW from the vineyard of one of the namesake grandfathers, Dr Brian Freeman. Allandale’s chief winemaker Bill Sneddon, the other grandfather, put the fruit to a traditional open fermenter to hand plunge daily before aging in barrel for 15 months in both French and American oak hogsheads. The result is delicious ripe berry fruit with nuances of spice and chocolate.

HILLTOPS
Subtle herbaceous mint and pine freshness on the nose, complemented by rich cherry fruit weight on the palate, defined by an intense tannin structure to finish.

MUDGEE
Eucalyptus characters on the nose complemented by dark fruit flavours following through onto the palate underpinned by firm tannins and earthy undertones.

-MEMBERS TASTING ONLY-

SOMETHING SWEET

Three individual parcels were picked and crafted separately followed by extended maturation in fine grain French oak hogsheads for up to six years. Two varieties, botrytised Viognier and Cabernet deliver substance and structure respectively, sumptuously drawn together with a hint of fine Brandy spirit.

HILLTOPS
The palate is sweet with luscious apricot and honey balanced by a subtle hint of fresh acidity and light floral notes of violets. The oak gives the wine a lovely, textural mouth feel and a complex bouquet.
